BAUS NWU25 Abstract Guidelines

I. Abstracts will be submitted to google forms using the below QR code or through BAUSNW.org.uk.

II. Abstracts should be submitted in English and must be a maximum of 250 words. Titles must be a maximum of 75 words.

III. The names of the author(s) and institutions will be submitted on the google form, however they should not be identifiable within the word document which is uploaded as part of the form submission process.

IV. Judges have been advised to mark 0 to any abstract file in which the author or institution is identifiable.

V. Named authors will be limited to a maximum of 10. If you have more than 10 authors, the 11th author entry should be named et al.

VI. Figures and tables should number no more than 2 in total. They should be labelled but these labels do not form part of the overall word count.

VII. In general, references should not be cited but, if they are deemed essential to the abstract, they should be in the form (Smith et al. BJUI 1999; 75: 100-1) within the text.

VIII. The report must use Calibri 11pt font.

IX. All titles must be in bold.

X. The abstract should be in 4 sections – 1. Introduction 2. Methods 3. Results 4. Conclusion(s).
